Private classes are meant for beginners and seasoned cooks alike – but geared toward students who are interested in a some serious ‘one-on-one’ attention and learning to think outside the box.
They begin by touching on the logistics of a well-stocked pantry and basic flavor profiling, offer guidelines on how best to source and work with seasonal produce (even in the depths of Winter when even considering how to cook another squash or sweet potato may cause legitimate despair), and ultimately lead to a better understanding of how to work with what you have - both in your repertoire and your refrigerator - rather than feeling restricted by a concept or recipe.
The goal is to build upon the foundation you already possess, offer an opportunity for a different perspective and the freedom for informed exploration and experimentation so that cooking can become a little less mysterious, and evolve into a more exciting, educated and inspired process from start to finish.
Group classes are limited to 8 attendees and meant for anyone interested in learning how to cook, or for a bit of inspiration.
Feel free to book as an individual for any of the dates available on the calendar, or if you’d like to book a special date for a group of your choosing, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a date. We offer classes in a similar style for wedding/engagement parties, holiday parties, birthdays, team-building exercises – and the list goes on.
The baseline is similar to that of our private classes – the concepts are simply taught a little more slowly and methodically in tandem with the group. The goal is to broaden your skill set, introduce you to some new techniques and shed some light on how to cook what you love while working sustainably and within the season. After three hours you'll be able to take home the fruits of your labor!
